Lights out in the Village

Over the last three years a number of business in The Belmont Village have participated in the hour long power down to help create a mass awareness of our impact on the environment. Some of the great, fun and creative ways these businesses have continuted to operate during Earth Hour have included (but not limited to) turning off all lights indoors/outdoors and created ambience with candles. Buisnesses have also had a great time by having staff bring in flashlights and glowsticks.

Suggestions for the 2010 Earth Hour

1) Arrange for friends and family to come over and enjoy activites that do not require electricity.

2) Invite your neighbours to join the businesses of The Belmont Village with flashlites and glow sticks.

3) Go for an evening stroll with your family and friends through your neighbourhood.
